Types de billets

De part sa géographie, le Pérou n'a au total que 3 tronçons pour tout le pays. Un entre Lima la capitale et Huancayo, un entre Cuzco y Puno et un entre Cuzco et le Machu Picchu. C'est ce dernier tronçon que nous proposons sur ce site. Il relie la ville de Cuzco avec le village d'Aguas Calientes.

Catégories de trains
Expedition Autrefois appelé Backpacker. C'est la catégorie la moyen chère mais néanmoins confortable.
Vistadome Appelé aussi train panoramique, pour ces immenses fenêtres et son toit vitré qui offrent une vue incroyable sur les paysages andins traversés.
Hiram Bingham C'est la version grand luxe, digne de l'Orient Express, offrant au voyageur une expérience unique, à un prix forcément élevé.
Il y a 3 catégories, à choisir au moment de réserver. Merci de noter que la catégorie est celle du train entier; tous les wagons sont les mêmes.

 

Gares
Cuzco 31
Poroy Située à l'extérieur de Cuzco, elle est à 30 minutes de route du centre de Cuzco. Cette gare est surtout utilisée pour le départ des trains Vistadome.
Ollantaytambo Située en plein milieu de la Vallée Sacrée, à 2 heures et demi de Cuzco par la route. C'est la gare la plus utilisée.
Aguas Calientes Située dans le village même d'Aguas Calientes, au pied du Machu Picchu. C'est la gare d'arrivée, pour accéder au village et au Machu Picchu, à 20 minutes en bus.

Expedition

Expedition service departs from two stations: Cusco (Poroy) and the Sacred Valley (Ollantaytambo)

Vistadome

The Vistadome is the ideal train for those who want to be in contact with the environment and appreciate the wonderful journey to Machu Picchu.

Belmond Hiram Bingham carriages are distinguished by their blue and gold colors for its warm and cozy interiors that feature elegant upholstery. Les trains ne partent plus du centre ville de Cusco, mais de gares intermédiaires plus ou moins éloignées de la ville.

Gare de Poroy

Située à 13 km (8 milles) de Cusco, cette gare offre peu de départs par jour mais c'est le trajet le plus direct pour aller de Cusco au Machu Picchu.

Distance parcourrue: 86 km (54 milles).

Comment s'y rendre: En taxi depuis Cusco, 20 minutes environ.

Gare de Ollantaytambo

Située à 89 km (56 milles) de Cusco, cette gare offre un service de navette pour aller et venir facilement du Machu Picchu, mais c'est un trajet qui implique un voyage supplémentaire en bus ou en taxi.

Gare de Machu Picchu

Située dans le village d'Aguas Calientes (Machu Picchu pueblo), c'est la destination de tous les trains qui vont au Machu Picchu et c'est de là aussi que tous repartent.

Distance au site archéologique du Machu Picchu: 8 km (5 miles).
